Jessica Powers, USA
Seattle pumps through every inch of her veins but her soul screams nomad. For now, Jessica mostly reside in various parts of India and a majority of her time is spent studying yoga and meditation, the rest of the time she is glued to her phone. No, not Facebook, mobile photography! If she was to have a forte it would be capturing life as it unfolds but has recently developed a love for minimalism and the tiny details that usually go unnoticed. Jessica is a passionate and very community oriented Android photographer.
Tom Nußbaum, Austria
Tom has a passion for design and typography and always tries to combine them together. His favourite form/shape is the triangle and Tom use them in his pictures as a watermark that stands for ‘nature lover’. Tom always searches for the subtle and minimal in his designs and edits, and always tries to tell a story through edits and photography or let the typography tell the story. Tom has always loved to experiment with apps, especially ArtStudio. There is no day he’s not using it somehow. Tom is Android Editors’ only member who uses both Android and iOS devices.
Nakeva Corothers, USA
Nakeva lives through the combination of tech, social and the lens. Living in the Washington, DC area lends opportunities to compose light and life through photography. She started experimenting with mobile photography and styles of street photography, architecture or everyday life to find the angles of beauty. Nakeva has been a supporter of participating and growing with the mobile photography community with ideas to push the envelope for Android Photography. When not shooting or editing images, she spends time with her family, reads fiction, enjoys watching action films, and works on a project to combine her love for music and photography.
Eduard Cambra, Spain
Edu started in mobile photography when he joined Instagram in late March 2012. Having no previous experience in photography but having a tendency to adopt any creative discipline (piano, guitar, drawing, writing…), he learned to edit in the classic way: trial and error. He was born and lives in Barcelona, where he works as a headhunter. Daily life is consuming and mundane routine can easily develop… IG first, and mobile photography in a wider sense now, has become the perfect way for Edu to liberate the latent creativity, a window to show and share imagery of all kind. From minimal edits to over editing, every idea is welcome and worth a try; minimalism, typography, monochrome (or nearly) and blending will often be in the mix. He is an iOS user and friend to many Android users.
Hannah Teoh, Singapore
Hannah is from the tiny island of Singapore. Although she is a documentary photographer by training, she enjoys using mobile photography to nurture her creative side, and loves to experiment with overlays, textures and other mobile editing apps. She hopes to help others recognize that Android phones are capable of producing artistic images, and refuses to post photos of food or coffee cups. She suffers from incurable wanderlust and is always planning and dreaming about her next travel destination somewhere in the world.
